violin / viola / cello instructor
Stephenie Mokriakow (pronounced ‘Muh-creek-oh’) teaches violin, cello and viola at Rhythm Studio. Stephenie has been playing the violin for over 15 years. She states “I’ve enjoyed it from the very star!” Stephenie obtained her Associate of Arts degree from St. Charles Community College in the Spring of 2012 and her Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education (K-12) in the Spring of 2016. She has been teaching strings for a few years, and has experience teaching in both a group setting with a school string orchestra ensemble as well as teaching privately. Stephenie recognizes that private instruction to always work on learning and improving is important, and took lessons privately through her college professors for over 8 years.
Stephenie has played in many different orchestras from my high school orchestra, to the symphonic orchestras of St. Charles Community College, Lindenwood University, as well as the St. Charles County Symphonic Orchestra. She has also played violin in each of these orchestras, serving as a member of the first violin section, in addition, Stephenie has served as concert-master of the symphonic orchestras of both St. Charles Community College and Lindenwood University. Stephenie has as also participated in the Lindenwood University String Quartet and String Ensemble. Stephenie had the opportunity to conduct the Lindenwood Symphonic Orchestra for her Advanced Conducting Course. Her performance experience is extensive and includes many solos for student recitals and concerts both at St. Charles Community College and at Lindenwood University, performing at different churches, for weddings and other special events.
Stephenie says, “I enjoy getting to know my students and specializing instruction that fits each ones’ individual needs.”
