Nick (Frido) Guiffrida

guitar / drum / piano instructor

artist and band development coach / producer

With over a decade of performance experience, Nick Guiffrida brings a diverse knowledge of music that spans nearly every genre of Western Music.  With an Associate's Degree from St. Charles Community College studying classical piano, voice and graduating with a Bachelor's Degree from Lindenwood University in 2014 in Music Performance, studying Jazz Bass, Nick has a wealth of knowledge to apply to each student.

Having grown up around music his whole life, Nick began playing piano at age 5 and quickly began performing in recitals and in church.  By the time he was 14, he was studying classical piano at the local community college.  When Nick was 13 however, his discovery of the bass guitar took over his musical interests.  He began playing in bands and became experienced in many genres.  At age 15, he began teaching out of his house, teaching piano, bass, and guitar.  He amassed over 20 students in less than a year and has taught people from all backgrounds, from 4-year old piano students to 54-year-old bass students and everyone in between.

Nick is a very active performer in the St. Charles and St. Louis area, as well as an active student performer at Lindenwood University.  At school, he plays bass in the big band, as well as the jazz combos.  He is also a member of St. Louis alternative-rock band All My Vices.  With that group, he has opened for many national artists such as Leagues, Atlas Genius, and American Authors.  As a freelance bass player, he is experienced in nearly every genre, but his greatest strengths lie in rock, gospel, funk, R&B, and Jazz.  He also has experience performing and recording in genres from country to hip-hop and metal.
