Jeremy Novak was born and raised in the St. Louis area. He began studying the guitar at age 15 with major musical influences being the Beatles and Stevie Ray Vaughan. While attending college, he discovered the styles of Jazz Guitar greats Joe Pass, Wes Montgomery, and Grant Green.
In 2000, Jeremy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a Jazz Studies Minor from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University). He has performed with various jazz ensembles from duets to big bands in the Springfield, MO area. His teaching experience includes music theory, music history, guitar ensemble, and instructing students with special needs through the Pujols Foundation. Mr. Novak has studied jazz guitar with John Strickler and Tom Byrne and is currently pursuing a Masters of Arts degree in Music with an emphasis in Jazz Arranging through Webster University.
