At Rhythm Music Studio, we choose carefully the instructors who teach our valued students

Our Rhythm Studio Instructors must come with an impeccable list of references.  

 

Simply knowing how to perform or teach is not sufficient alone, they must have the education and experience to instruct Rhythm Students. Our instructors meet a high quality, extensive list of criteria required to be part of the Rhythm Team

Kathy Bhat

Voice / Piano Instructor

Kathy is new to Rhythm Studio, but not new to the community.  She teaches Choir and directs musicals and plays at Orchard Farm High School and Middle School.  She is a wonderful asset to our studio. You can expect her to incorporate proper technique, sight reading, and music theory into her fun and energetic lessons. Her photo and bio are to come!

Doug Byrkit

Guitar / Bass Guitar/ Drums / Songwriting and Production Instructor

Doug is a professional bassist, guitarist, and vocalist and also teaches percussion. Along with those impressive talents, he is an award-winning songwriter. Doug graduated from Lindenwood University with a BA in Music Performance then continued his education graduating in 2009 from SIUE with a Master's degree in Music Performance. He currently teaches at four Saint Louis area colleges and universities. 

Victoria Kleeman

Guitar / Voice Instructor

Victoria has taught voice and guitar lessons for about 3 years at a non-profit music academy for low income students. She has been playing guitar for about 16 years. She took lessons from about 5th grade and all through college. She doesn’t remember a time where she wasn’t singing.  Growing up in a Lutheran church, choir wasn’t an option!

 

I believe that lessons are an investment, an opportunity to learn from someone more experienced than yourself, and a chance to build a relationship with another musician.

Nick Guiffrida

Guitar / Bass Guitar / Piano / Drum / Music Composition Instructor

With over a decade of performance experience, Nick (Frido) Guiffrida brings a diverse knowledge of music that spans nearly every genre of Western Music.  With an Associate's Degree from St. Charles Community College studying classical piano, voice and graduating with a Bachelor's Degree from Lindenwood University in 2014 in Music Performance, studying Jazz Bass, Nick has a wealth of knowledge to share with each of his students.

Vinnie Guiffrida

Piano / Guitar / Drum Instructor

Vinnie Guiffrida is a multi-instrumental performer and instructor. Vinnie is a dedicated musician, committing the past 15 years to taking lessons and practicing and playing the piano. Multi-instrumentalist looking forward to a career in music.

 

Currently a student at Lindenwood University, working on a Bachelor's degree in Music Business. Vinnie is also on the Dean's List at Lindenwood University. Performing in Lindenwood University Jazz Band and Jazz Combo as the pianist. Vinnie has been teaching drums, guitar, and piano for the past 4 years.

Elizabeth Kinnear

Piano / Voice Instructor

Elizabeth is a piano instructor with extensive experience in teaching and degrees in worship ministry.  She is a new and welcome addition to Rhythm Studio. 

Jacquelyn Kliene

Flute / Clarinet / Saxophone / Oboe / Special Needs Music Instructor

Jacquelyn (Jacki), a native St. Louisan, has been a Flute Instructor, Performer, Composer and Music Educator for many years. She holds a B.A. Music and Creative Arts from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA, and graduate studies in Special Education. Jacki has taught Band, led Flute Choirs, Expressive Music and Creative Arts groups and is the founder of “Native Spirit Winds” a greater St. Louis Native American Flute Circle.

Abraham Lavoi

Acoustic Guitar / Piano / Songwriting Instructor

Abraham LaVoi has extensive experience in musicianship with guitar and piano, as well as performance and songwriting. Abraham began playing music at age 7 with weekly piano lessons.  With professional education at the Children’s Theater Company and School in Minneapolis, MN.  He was with a touring choir and spent over five years leading worship in music in church.  Abraham is currently responsible for writing, arranging, and recording one original song each month for a children’s Sunday school curriculum.

Justin Meaux

Violin / Viola Instructor

Justin Meaux began studying violin at age three, using the same Suzuki method he now uses to teach children and adults.  Today, Justin performs regionally with groups from the Illinois Symphony Orchestra to the Transyberian Orchestra.  He holds a BA in Management and Marketing from Webster University and an MBA from Missouri Baptist University. 

Dishawn Payton

Piano /Guitar/ Drum Instructor / Audio Production Instructor / Music Producer

Dishawn “Dmicestro” Payton is an independent producer from Cincinnati, OH. He was born in St. Louis, MO., raised in Cincinnati and is residing once again in St. Louis. 

 

Many musicians and producers have a specific memory of a moment or person who inspired them in music.  Dishawn says, “I just happened to discover at a very young age that I had a sincere passion and heart for music.”  Essentially, he was born with this love and talent, and his desire for teaching music production shows through his attentive instruction. 

Adrienne Pitts

Acting / Voice Instructor

Adrienne is a lively and joyful instructor who incorporates these attributes into her lessons.  She instructs both voice and acting and will help her students work on auditions as well as current roles.  Her more extensive bio is to come soon!

Stephanie Crawford

Piano / Voice

Stephanie has been teaching private lessons for about 15 years, both in a studio environment as well as in her own private studio. She is passionate about giving her students a solid musical foundation, rooted in classical theory and technique principles. She believes that this foundation enables a student to confidently branch out and explore other genres. She encourages her students to find genres that they love, such as Broadway, Pop, or Jazz, and enjoy studying and practicing those styles alongside more traditional styles that will enhance their technique and musical skills. 
 

Stephanie is committed to creating a personalize approach based on your learning style and musical interests, and she looks forward to working with you! 

Catherine (Cat) Sansone

Voice / Stage Performance Instructor

A St. Louis, Missouri native, Cat has been a professional performer and singer for over 35 years.  She began performing at the age of 8 on the “Sammy Davis Jr. Variety Club Telethon” and went on to more professional bands throughout her years, having most recently sung in the band “Boom.”  Cat brings to Rhythm an impressive experience and talent.  She currently teaches voice instruction and coaching as well as artist development.  Her artist development includes voice coaching, stage performance, image consulting and mentoring through the music industry.  Her lessons take place on our practice stage in order to give Rhythm Studio’s clients the “real feel” of how to perform on stage. 

Charity Steevens

Piano / Music Theory Instructor

At Rhythm Music and Performing Arts Studio Charity teaches Piano, Music Theory and Piano Composition. Charity was homeschooled and continued her education at Missouri Baptist University graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with an emphasis in Piano. She also has two minors in Church Music and Psychology. She began teaching piano privately in 2002 and has experience teaching band, choir, and drama in private schools. She is involved in her community through directing music and playing the piano at her church.

Kameron Walker

Drums / Guitar Instructor and Producer

Kameron Walker is a respected drummer, guitarist, and recording artist from St. Louis, Missouri. He has played on 3 live albums, performed in multiple studio projects, and toured in both Africa and Germany. A technical and creative director for Life Gate International in St. Peters, he has led bands and worship for churches, conferences, and events across the metro area and performed in summer festivals across the United States.

Kendra Willouer

Voice / Acting / Dance Instructor

Kendra’s experience in voice and stage performance is extensive. At Rhythm Music and Performing Arts Studio, Kendra teaches voice, drama/musical arts, and dance. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre, Media, and Music from Marymount College of Fordham University in Tarrytown, New York.  Kendra has always been a performer who sings, acts, and dances from her heart.
