Greetings! My name is Elizabeth Kinnear, and I look forward to teaching you. I have been playing piano for fifteen years and teaching for six years. In addition to teaching, I have played on several worship teams, been in a band, led worship, played at weddings, and accompanied soloists and choirs.
I have also performed in several student recitals over the past few years. I studied music for a year at Greenville College. I will be finishing my degree at Grace College of Divinity, where I am pursuing a Bachelor’s in Divinity with an emphasis in worship. My studies and performance experiences have taught me to play both classical and contemporary piano.
In my years of teaching, I have discovered that every student learns differently and has different goals. I tailor each lesson to the needs of my student. Thus, in addition to teaching the fundamentals, theory, and technique, I encourage my students to learn to play some of their favorite songs (whether they are pop, jazz, country, classical, or other genres). This equips students to make and reach goals as a musician.
I look forward to meeting you and helping guide you in the journey of music.
